Tarte color vibes amazonian clay palette review

Hi Beauties,

Jessica here, with a review of the limited holiday edition tarte color vibes  amazonian clay palette. I decided to treat myself to this on boxing day after tarte had free shipping to the UK and a sale as shipping can be expensive on top if you don't live in the US.

At the time I purchased the palette for £27 - with discount included - however I think it's currently retailing in the US for $41. The packaging feels almost card board like while also magnetic, which I have to admit unfortunately I do not like; as it doesn't feel overly secure. However, the design is really pretty with the different hues of purples, and stands out stacked with my other palettes.

Inside the palette holds 20 gorgeous eyeshadows with 4 of them being 'liner shades'. There is a mixture of matte and shimmers, with the matte shades being more of the transition and base shades (which I love). This palette is so versatile and I love how massive the pans are - you get so much product for your buck! The shimmer shades in particular are absolutely stunning. I love how the shadows provide a pop of colour to your eyeshadow look while still looking natural, which tarte is mainly known for.

The tarte website describes the palette as "Discover your new color vibes eye tribe with this creative collector’s palette. It includes 20 pigmented Amazonian clay eyeshadows, including 4 rich liner shades, plus a double-ended eyeshadow brush. The mix of base, crease, eye contouring and highlighting shades features a stunning range of browns, bronzes, nudes and bolder tones in mattes and microshimmers to channel your inner tarteist."

The shadows included are:-
  • pixel (pink champagne)
  • love hue (warm rose)
  • different strokes (mauve)
  • on the Monet  (aubergine)
  • style (blackened plum)
  • base coat (pink ivory)
  • medium (brown)
  • a beautiful Degas (rose gold)
  • venus (bronze)
  • mosaic (copper)
  • glaze (golden pink)
  • for realism (cool mulberry)
  • color vibes (plum bronze)
  • seascape (shimmering dark turquoise)
  • inked (navy)
  • exhibit (mauve pink)
  • pop art princess (rose quartz)
  • modern icon (metallic plum)
  • Getty up & go (mulberry)
  • illusion (dark plum)
Overall I couldn't rate this palette highly enough. I already know that this will be my go to palette this year as the colours and just crazy pigmented and the shadows all compliment each other perfetly. You can really go for a natural eye all the way to a super dark smokey eye (recommend the shade "seascape" for smokey eyes). I think this is my favourite palette of all time and doubt I will find one that compares to it for a while.

Love,
The Hamptons x

P.S. Buy this palette if you can!
