Bali Lookbook: Holiday Outfit Ideas

Hi Beauties,

Jess here, with a lowdown on what outfits I wore on holiday. My fiance and I spent 2 weeks in Bali, and trust me when I say there's a reason Bali is found on so many peoples bucket lists. Not only that, but Joe proposed on the most romantic private meal on a beach; definitely a holiday I'll never forget.  Oh and of course I said yes!

I'm such a believer in taking outfits that you can re-wear and dress up and down accordingly therefore most of my outfits were restyled. Also, a huge tip when picking holiday outfits, go for lighter material or loose clothing - especially for a tropical climate like Bali.

The 'adaptable' playsuit:

A playsuit is such a staple on a summer holiday. I wore this playsuit from New Look on the beach as a cover up, during the day with my trainers, or even dressed up in the evening with heels. This style of playsuit is extremely flattering, and not too tight fitting.

Unfortunately this playsuit is unavailable to purchase, however AX Paris now stock the same style of playsuit in a different print for £22.

'Touch of neon' BANDEAU tops:

Neon seems to be a trend this summer and I'm all for it. New Look had a deal on of 2 for £8 bandeau tops, which was perfect to mix and match. Here I accompanied a bright neon orange bandeau with a stunning long lace kimono from River Island, and some neon shorts also from New Look.

summer maxi dresses:

Another reason I love 'summer fashion' is the fact that you can wear beautiful maxi dresses and no one bats an eyelid so to speak. Pretty little thing sell some amazing petite maxi dresses in all sorts of patterns.

STATEMENT PRINT SHORTS:

Up until a few years ago, I would only take a pair of the same denim shorts with me on holiday, however I soon started experimenting with more fancy night time shorts. These stunning satin shorts from River Island are so flattering, especially if like me you don't want to wear booty shorts. I mostly wore those during the evening paired with a black bodysuit, however this staple can be dressed down for daytime wear as well. (These were also so good that Vic went and brought some for herself!)

Unfortunately these shorts are completely sold out, although these paper bag shorts from River Island are a similar style for £25.

MATCHING CO ORD SETS:

I think my all time favourite outfit is a statement co ord. I first found this maxi skirt and crop top, blue, tye die co ord from Boohoo a couple of years ago, and still to this day put it on the second theres a single ray of sun. Boohoo are so good for finding beautiful co ords.

As mentioned, I purchased this co ord a few years ago, but your girl has got your back and found another stunning summery co ord for £12 on sale!

I hope this lookbook gives you some inspo to style some summer holiday outfits. All of these pieces are staples therefore can be adapted for whatever holiday!

As always love,
The Hamptons x
