Estée Lauder Doublewear foundation review

Hello Beauties,

Jessica here, reviewing Estee Lauder's much-loved cult product, Double Wear stay-in-place makeup with an spf of 10. You receive 30ml of product which is a decent amount.

The foundation itself comes in a sleek royal blue, cardboard box packaging, with gold lettering of the brands name and shade on the top of the box lid. The back of the box provides a description of the foundation, being described as:

"This remarkable lasting, yet lightweight makeup wears comfortably for 15 hours, even in high humidity. Won't smudge or come off on clothes. Oil-free. Fragrance-free. Non-acnegenic. Dermatologist-and Ophthalmologist-tested."

Packaging for the foundation keeps to the same minimalistic feel, with the foundation bottle a glazed glass effect (although I'm not sure if the bottle is actually glass or plastic). The lid is a gold screw lid with no pump provided. Unfortunately you cannot buy a pump for the foundation however a MAC foundation pump fits perfectly which roughly costs £4.

Now onto the foundation. This is by far my all-time favourite foundation. It's described to suit all skin types and I have to agree that it holds well with both my combination-more dry skin to Victoria's oily skin. I will say though, that the foundation suits oily skin slightly better as its oil free, however as long as you moisturise beforehand, it's just as fabulous. I went to debenhams store to get matched by a makeup artist as there's around 32 different shades and I seriously recommend this, as it was great trying out the different shades. My shade is 1N2 Ecru.

The coverage is without a doubt full coverage making my skin look flawless, yet the foundation still manages to feel lightweight; I always forget I'm wearing it! Additionally, this magic stuff is very long lasting, the 15 hour coverage being tested and true from coming home from nights out and falling asleep with makeup on to find it's looking just as good the next day!

Overall, I cannot praise this product highly enough and definitely understand why it's such a loved product by bloggers and makeup addicts. The foundation retails for £32, which is more on the pricey side but so worth it. Due to the high coverage it provides, people may be put off to wear this as an everyday foundation, nevertheless, Estée Lauder responded to this query by introducing the double wear bb creams (which I also use and are just as good for then good skin days.

Keep tuned from an exciting post soon beauties...
