Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions review

Hi Beauties,

Jessica here, reviewing the mauve obsessions eyeshadow palette.

The palette retails for £25 and within it you receive 9 eyeshadows. There's 4 quads in different colour schemes: Mauve Obsessions, Warm Brown Obsessions, Smokey Obsessions and Electric Obsessions.
I have to admit, the images on online stores do deceive you - this is a small palette so don't expect it to be as large as Huda Beauty desert dusk palette. However, the pans are fairly large for the palette, and you don't need to use a lot of shadow to collect that pigment.

Speaking of the pigment, I was blown away with how pigmented these shadows are, the colour pay off is amazing; the shades are so rich and buttery and blend like a dream.

I chose the mauve obsessions because I feel like the berry tones suit my green eyes best, and I wanted the foil shadows in the palette so badly. Within the palette you receive a mix of mattes, and foils with all the shades complimenting each other. The palette contains a nice matte brown which is ideal as a base colour. What I love about this palette is that you can make a sultry statement look just as easily as a natural day time look; the versatility coming from a smaller palette is insane.

I feel like this palette is one of those palettes you could take with you on holiday - which I definitely will be doing - as the palette is so convenient for when you don't have much room. As much as the matte colours are amazing, the real winners for me are the foil shadows, which have fine chunks of glitter within yet somehow manage to stay on your lids. As with any glitter, make sure you're aware of any fall out however there isn't much considering how glittery the shadows are.

What I also love about these palettes is she's separated them into 4 colour schemes, with all the eyeshadows relevant, meaning this is one of very few eyeshadow palettes I actually use every shade provided (guilty).

All in all I couldn't recommend this palette enough, and Huda Beauty eyeshadows in general, they've nailed the formula. I wouldn't recommend this as an eyeshadow palette for beginners (the Warm Brown Obsessions or Smokey Obsessions would probably be more ideal for a more natural look, however if you want to experiment with berry tones, this is perfect!

Love,
