Easter chocolate rice krispie nests

Hi beauties!

Jessica here with an Easter inspired post about chocolate rice krispie egg nests! I love baking and in particular spring baking, and with this recipe being so simple and cheap... what’s not to love! So here is what you’ll need:

Ingredients:
  • Box of rice krispies (I roughly used about half a box so around 400g)
  • Sharing bar of chocolate (as you already know my preference is Dairy Milk)
  • Cupcake cases
  • Packet of mini eggs
Step 1

First measure out as many rice krispies in a large mixing bowl, as mentioned I used about half a box and ended up with roughly 15 nests. Next, probably the most 'time consuming' part of the recipe, break apart the chocolate and put over a hot stove with boiling water inside. Mix the chocolate until it's slowly melted.

Step 2
Once the chocolate is completely melted, turn the stove off and pour the melted chocolate into your mixing bowl of rice krspies. Tip to ensure they're all covered evenly, slowly pour the chocolate a little at a time (because nothing is more frustrating than a nest with no chocolate on)

Step 3

Next, lay out some cupcake cases and spoon the chocolate krispies into the cases. Once you've filled a case pat your nests down with a spoon and place some mini eggs or any other decorations you like onto the middle.

Step 4

Once you have finished your wonderful little creations put the nests in the fridge to set for 15 minutes and tuck in!

As you can tell, these nests are so quick and easy to make and are perfect when you've had enough of your easter eggs.

Love,
